We are proud to be one of the largest and most successful international creators of entertainment brands in the world producing over 10,000 hours of original programming across 318 titles in 2007.
FremantleMedia makes award-winning programmes in 22 production operations around the globe in all major genres including leading prime time drama, serial drama, entertainment and factual entertainment broadcasting to 150 territories.
As well as an impressive array of local formats, FremantleMedia is also a global leader in travelling formats including Idols, currently in 42 territories, and Got Talent in 22 territories to date making us a creative powerhouse in the global broadcasting industry.

Employing over 3000 people around the world, FremantleMedia has a long and rich heritage in television incorporating the likes of Pearson Television and Thames Television in the UK, Grundy in Australia, UFA in Germany and All American Fremantle in America. We produce the longest running gameshow in the world – The Price is Right as well as being Europe’s leading producer of serial drama.
In 2007 we won a host of awards including an Emmy for The Price is Right, the People’s Choice Award for American Idol, a National Television Award and a BAFTA for The X Factor, a Royal Television Society Award for The Apprentice in the UK, an Inside Soap Award for Best Drama for The Bill, the 2007 Bambi Audience Award for the TV movie Die Flucht and a Prix Europe 2007 award for Die Mauer – Berlin 61 in Germany.
In 2008, our success includes winning a Rose d’Or for our UK sitcom The IT Crowd, an RTS Programme Award: Continuing Drama for The Bill and a Logie in Australia for Most Outstanding Factual Series for Choir of Hard Knocks.

In 2007 FremantleMedia launched its Talent Fund – a €40 million investment fund focusing on talent partnerships which will include label deals, as well as the formation of jointly-owned production companies. This exciting initiative means we can make a number of investments across a range of talent - from new up-and-comers to established brand names.
Our commercial arm FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) offers a one-stop-shop for Licensing, Distribution and Home Entertainment making us a global leader in this area.
The latest addition to the FremantleMedia portfolio is our new platforms division FMX – which oversees the creative development of entertainment formats and brands for the increasingly important mobile, broadband, games consoles and Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) platforms.
